In these photos below, check out how architect Jeffery Povero used Iron Mountain to make his New York apartment seem larger: painting the window recesses white helps the dark color dematerialize at the edges.
He also maximized space in his 860-square-foot apartment with custom shelving in the bedroom, which provides tons of vertical storage. Limiting the palette to gray, white and orange helps keep things looking orderly, too.
